Being Sunday it was a very low key day today. I did some laundry and then spent the afternoon walking around Florence with no particular destination in mind. In my wanderings I came across an old fort and took a few pictures of the walls and a statue that was outside the walls. Every day I have been passing a very old door that the paint has been peeling off of for probably longer than I have been alive. The texture of the peeling paint has intrigued me for the past week and the light was finally right to get some macro shots of the texture as I passed it today. Tomorrow is going to be a long day for me. We are waking up early to catch a train to Ravenna.
