Today we walked through Venice and visited a few churches and looked at the art, we visited Titian’s Tomb which was incredibly decorated. We also visited the Basilica Dei Santi Giovanni Paolo, where they had some beautiful renaissance paintings and sculptures and they had the foot of Santa Caterina da Siena on display. Then we had lunch at a nice little restaurant and walked through the streets looking in the shops until we were driven off the streets by a down pour. I hope you enjoy the pictures from today. Again I was unable to take pictures in some of the churches we visited, though there were some wonderful sculptures, some very macabre mummy / zombie looking sculptures out of black stone.
